Howdyyyyyyy Howwwww!
So sorry I have been ignoring my little
bloggle I have running around Greece for 5 weeks! Well driving slash crashing slash flying slash boating
soooooooo yes!
It was an awesome holiday, my boyfriend and I started out in Athens for a couple of days where we got thrown straight in to the Greek driving technique which is pretty much barge your way in or crash! Thank god for our Sat
Nav named Bob or we probably would have died! (Even though he also nearly killed us, but that later on).
Athens was awesome caught up some old friends and maneuvered on towards
Pelion, a nice 5 hour drive with what seemed barely any rest stops on the side of the road so peeing was becoming an issue.
We finally made it to
Volos and had ourselves and hour break and I caught up with one of my very good friends from
Symi and chilled out with a
Frap!!!!
UHHHHHHHH Best invention in life, COLD, iced, coffee!
We stayed in North East
Pelion first in a lovely place called
Agios Ioannes which is a beautiful beach town
surrounded by amazing sea and little tavernas and bars to chill out in.............We camped
hmmmmmmmmm not the most pleasant of experiences as I am not one so much for the outdoors and the fact the
toilets and shower made me want to be sick every 5 seconds! But hey I pulled through and we ended up having a lovely time!
We then moved on to another gorgeous place called
Tsangarada which is up in the
mountains and you had to drive to each beach......... But hey it was bloody worth it! It was
soooooooooo amazing the beach were the most breath taking beach I have ever seen and walking up and down to get to them also gave the same effect! We stayed in a
lovely little apartment with lovely people that ran it and made our own food every night on our little stove....... It was amazing!
Next on the agenda was a place called
Xyinovrisi....... Now we trust Sat
Nav Bob but for this I will never forgive him!!! We were driving along lovely big main road which goes around the whole of
Pelion when Bob tells us to veer off on to this dirt track...... So we did, as at this time we still trusted him. The road started to get exceedingly narrow and signs of life were
growing slim. Thank god for our mighty
micra who saved the day,
because I think if he had of died we would have never been seen again. The only people we saw were what looked like goat
herding hill billy
carnivores and I feel like we would have been goners if we stopped to ask for help so we just plodded on with the
kamikaze wasp's headbutting the windshield trying to get in! Eurrrggghhhhhh! Any way finally back tracked and found our way back to the main road and gave Bob a good talking to, which I think was the best moment of my life!
Finally we moved on to a gorgeous place called Milina where we found a campsite that was 10 times cheaper than the one we stayed in before and the facilites were so clean and amazing that we could have been staying in a hotel!! The town was beautiful and so we decided to stay there for the longest we drove to the very south of Pelion and the hardest desicion we had was which amazing beach along the way we were going to stop at! Uhhhhhhh its a hard life.
Finally it was the last leg and we headed back to the North East and went back to our cosy little apartment where we encounted all sorts of exciting wildlife which decided our room was its home such as Bats and Kamakazi wasp's. It was all very good fun and we stayed till we went back to Athens!
We then did the 5 hours drive back to Athens which seemed alot easier the second time around and stayed in Athens for the last 4 days and caught up with all my old family and friends which was amazing!
I had the besttttttt time ever and can't wait to go back next year wooooooooooppppp daddy!!!
I'll add a couple of snaps so you can catch the jist!
Mwahhhhhhh!
